Cars and SUVs seem to get smaller with every passing year. That would make the 2017 Toyota Avalon seem a bit like a holdover from another era -- after all, it's an unabashedly full-size sedan -- were it not for its expressive styling, swanky interior, and ample technology. For Los Angeles drivers who expect something more from their car, the Toyota Avalon found at Keyes Toyota is ready to impress.
2017 Toyota Avalon Details
The 2017 Toyota Avalon carries over mostly intact from the 2016 model year. That isn't a bad thing, since last year's model had a lot to recommend it. You can choose a traditional gas powertrain or the Toyota Avalon Hybrid. Between them, they come in a total of eight trim levels (five gas, three hybrid), with plenty of color, options, and accessory choices to customize the car to your liking.
Front-wheel drive is standard on the whole lineup. The gas-powered models all share the same 268 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 engine, rounded out by a six-speed automatic transmission. A CVT is standard on the 2017 Toyota Avalon Hybrid trims. The electric motor and 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine put out 200 net horsepower.
2017 Toyota Avalon Safety and Special Features*
Peace of mind comes standard with the 2017 Toyota Avalon. In addition to robust unibody construction and the legendary reliability we've all come to expect from new Toyota cars, the Toyota Avalon comes with ToyotaCare maintenance and roadside assistance, the Star Safety System, and standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P, which bundles a host of active safety features (aside from blind spot detection, which is optional) as standard equipment. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the car earns both an NHTSA five-star safety rating and a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS.
Also worthy of note are the variants of the Toyota Entune infotainment system available for the 2017 Toyota Avalon. Versions differ by trim. Opting for the higher trim levels gives you access to the Entune App Suite, run through the Entune™ Premium JBL® Audio system, including integrated navigation and a host of advanced features.
Buying a 2017 Toyota Avalon
The 2017 Toyota Avalon isn't marketed as a luxury car, but no matter. It ticks all the right boxes, delivering a smooth ride, a well-appointed and hushed interior, sharp looks, and a sense of style that's expressed in consummate -- if understated -- good taste. Best of all, you get all of that without an eye-popping luxury car price tag. No wonder, then, that it's so popular with the Los Angeles drivers served by Keyes Toyota. But don't simply take our word for it. We invite you to visit our showroom at 5855 Van Nuys Blvd in Van Nuys, CA and put the 2017 Toyota Avalon to the test. Prepare to be impressed!
