2018 Toyota Corolla Review
For many car shoppers in the Los Angeles area, the 2018 Toyota Corolla will be their first car. However, if the Keyes Toyota staff can attest to anything, it’s that this long-running compact car has a lot to offer any driver, whether it’s their first, fifth, or tenth car. Here’s a bit of what we love about it.
2018 Toyota Corolla Details
It’s customary to start these things off with a recitation of engine specs and horsepower. Let’s start somewhere else for a change: space. Not outer space, mind you; inner space. In this case, the well-designed 97.1 cubic feet of passenger space and 13 cubic feet of trunk space that make the compact Toyota Corolla feel anything but compact.
After last year’s interior and exterior refresh, there wasn’t much left to do for this year. The only significant change is that the 50th Anniversary Edition trim is gone from the lineup.
The car also retains the same good looks and improved driving dynamics, great fuel economy, legendary reliability, and low total cost of ownership. In other words, it’s still the same smart buy it’s been for half a century.
2018 Toyota Corolla Safety Features
All new Toyota vehicles get Toyota Safety Sense active safety features standard this year in addition to the Toyota STAR Safety System they already included. However, the Toyota Corolla actually had those features a year early. The five-star NHTSA safety rating should surprise no one, and when the IIHS gets ‘round to testing, we wouldn’t be surprised to see yet another Top Safety Pick Plus.
