2017 Toyota Corolla at Keyes Toyota

2017 Corolla

The 2017 Toyota Corolla recently arrived at Keyes Toyota. When we got our first look, a few of us thought to ourselves, "Wow. We hope we look this good at fifty." For a car in its golden years, the Toyota Corolla doesn't show its age at all. It's not just the most popular Toyota car around Los Angeles. It's the most popular car in the world, and it's their best version yet.

2017 Toyota Corolla Legacy Features

The 2017 Toyota Corolla gets a bit of plastic (and sheet metal) surgery for its fiftieth birthday. It's gotten some nips, tucks, and creases inside and out for a more youthful and updated look. It's technically a compact car, but when you (or your four passengers) climb in, it feels like anything but. Its 97.1 cubic feet of passenger space and 13 cubic feet of cargo space leave plenty of room for your friends and their gear.

The powertrain options and most of the trim levels have been carried over from 2016. All trim levels -- XLE, LE, LE Eco, SE, XSE, and 50th Anniversary Special Edition -- feature FWD powered by one of two 1.8 liter engines. A 132 horsepower four-cylinder engine is featured across most of the lineup, while the other (with 140 horsepower) features in the Eco trim. Transmission choices are a Continuously Variable Transmission or six-speed manual transmission. Each combination delivers excellent fuel economy and a low cost of ownership, making the Toyota Corolla a smart buy all around.

2017 Toyota Corolla: What's New*

While the car is mechanically much the same as it was in 2016, there are changes. There's a new 2017 Toyota Corolla 50th Anniversary Special Edition that adds some new exterior accents and an exclusive Black Cherry exterior with matching interior accents. It also gets custom badging, sport seats, and 17-inch machine-finished aluminum wheels with dark-gray inserts.

2017 Toyota Corolla: New Technology*

The 2017 Toyota Corolla goes all in on safety. A backup camera, fed through an upgraded version of the Toyota Entune infotainment system, is standard on all trim levels. Entune is upgraded on the higher trims, with a seven-inch touchscreen display and expanded functionality. With the standard Toyota STAR safety system and available Toyota Safety Sense P package (pre-collision system, dynamic cruise control, lane departure alert and automatic high beams), the 2017 Toyota Corolla has safety to spare.

Buying a 2017 Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla isn't just popular. It's the best-selling car in history, bar none. The 2017 Toyota Corolla looks to continue that dominance by remaining a smart buy but refusing to cut corners. As a Toyota dealership serving Los Angeles, Keyes Toyota has always been happy to offer new Toyota cars to our customers, but the new Toyota Corolla has made us especially proud.
