Hybrid Performance with Available AWD
The fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System in the 2027 Toyota Prius pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors to produce 194 combined horsepower with front-wheel drive or 196 horsepower with available Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive. Front-wheel-drive models can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in an estimated 7.2 seconds, while AWD models cut that time to 7.0 seconds.
The available AWD system uses a dedicated rear electric motor to send power to the rear wheels when additional traction is needed. You can also choose from Normal, ECO, Power, and EV drive modes to change how this new Toyota model responds to different driving situations.
Comfort and Everyday Versatility
The low, streamlined profile does not keep the 2027 Toyota Prius from offering useful space inside. The LE trim provides 23.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the rear seats, and standard 60/40 split-folding rear seats make it easier to accommodate longer items.
