A Quick Refresher on ToyotaCare®

Before we discuss ToyotaCare Plus, let’s quickly recap ToyotaCare. It’s the complimentary 2-year/25,000-mile maintenance plan that comes with every new Toyota car. During this period, ToyotaCare covers normal factory-scheduled maintenance such oil changes and multipoint inspections.

What Is ToyotaCare Plus?

ToyotaCare Plus is an enhanced version of ToyotaCare that increases your maintenance coverage to up to five years or 75,000 miles. To be eligible for ToyotaCare Plus, your vehicle must have 31,000 miles or fewer and be within 37 months of the date of first use. It’s important to note that the start date of ToyotaCare Plus is retroactive to when the vehicle was first put into service.

Does ToyotaCare Plus Come in Different Options?

Yes. Since its “clock” starts ticking with the first mile, you can purchase ToyotaCare Plus at the time you buy the car at our Van Nuys, CA, Toyota dealership, or you can wait a couple years. For example, if you buy ToyotaCare Plus simultaneous with your new vehicle, the plan lasts for five years and up to 75,000 miles. On the other hand, if you’d rather purchase ToyotaCare Plus later on, there are options for four years/60,000 miles and three years/45,000 miles.

Is ToyotaCare Plus Worth it?

ToyotaCare Plus is absolutely worth the investment, and its worth only increases with the amount of driving you do. For example, if you commute to work every day, regularly drive on rough roads or in rugged environments, or use a model such as the Toyota 4Runner or the Toyota Tacoma as a work vehicle, ToyotaCare Plus is a must-have, as it will cover your more frequent maintenance needs.
