What Is Toyota Gold Certified?
Gold Certified is Toyota’s top-tier pre-owned designation. To qualify, a vehicle must be no more than six model years old with fewer than 85,000 miles on the odometer. Every Gold Certified Toyota model goes through a rigorous 160-point inspection performed by Toyota-trained technicians, covering everything from the engine and transmission to brakes, tires, and interior condition.
The warranty package is where Gold really stands out. You get a 12-month/12,000-mile Limited Comprehensive Warranty, a 7-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty, and 7-year/100,000-mile Roadside Assistance. All coverage carries a $0 deductible and is transferable at no cost, which adds value if you decide to sell down the road.
What Is Toyota Silver Certified?
Toyota Silver Certified opens the door to a wider range of pre-owned options. Eligible vehicles can be up to 10 model years old with between 60,000 and 125,000 miles. Each one passes a thorough 136-point inspection to make sure it meets Toyota’s quality standards. Silver Certified vehicles come with a 12-month/12,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty and 12-month/12,000-mile Roadside Assistance. The coverage is more focused than Gold, but it still provides meaningful protection that a standard pre-owned vehicle simply doesn’t offer.
